Alexandra (Osial) Manolakis On February 24, 2007, at age 41, of Oakmont, formerly of McKeesport. Beloved wife of Dr. Thaddeus A. Osial, Jr.; beloved daughter of Thelma Manolakis of White Oak and the late Michael Manolakis; beloved sister of Lisa Lindsey (Richard) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kula Tedesco- Goughnour (James) of White Oak, Mary Ann Snyder of Vero Beach, FL and Nikki Swartz (Ray) of Glassport; aunt of Christopher Lindsey, AJ Tedesco, Autumn Timko, Alexis Hancharik, Amy Snyder-Leventis, Samantha and Michael Swartz; numerous grand nieces, grand nephews and James and Alissa Osial (son and daughter of Thaddeus Osial). Ali will be remembered by all for her courage, determination and will to live. Despite decades of systemic lupus and end stage renal disease, she lived a full life, working as a dialysis social worker and educator, traveling the world while on dialysis, establishing long and enduring friendships, and deeply loving and caring for her family and her Labrador Coco. Over the years she was active with the National Kidney Foundation, CORE (Center for Organ Recovery Education), and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Friends will be received on Monday and Tuesday 7-9 pm at the ENGLISH-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 378 Maryland Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139, where a Trisagon Service will be held both days at 7:30 pm. Friends will also be received on Wednesday at 10 am at the Holy Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, Oakmont where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, Ali requested memorial contributions be made to the Lupus Center of Excellence at 300 Halket St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or to The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Donor Relations Department Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-3259.
