Meredith Duane Williams Mert, Murky, 55, of Stafford, Virginia, departed this life on Monday, November 9, 2020. Meredith was born on September 6, 1965, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Barbara Williams, Janice Brownfield, and the late Meredith Brownfield. Mr. Williams graduated from McKeesport Highschool in 1983. He then enlisted and served 25 years in the United States Marine Corps. He received his Bachelors in Business and Masters in Public Administration from Strayer University. Mert, a man of many talents and passions, spent his free time hunting, fishing, and creating joyous moments with his loved ones. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. As a member of Zion Baptist Church, Mr. Williams would graciously provide the fish for the church’s annual fish fry. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by Meridith Brownfield, Derek McClellan, and Beverly Brownfield, all of McKeesport, PA. He is survived by Barbara Williams (PA), Janice Brownfield (PA),Roxanna Williams (VA); their children: Ramone (Niama S.) Williams (PA), Tae (Charlie) Willis, Meredith Williams, and Zakiya Williams (VA). He was a proud grandfather of 10 grandkids: Khyree Scott (PA), Juliette Moore Williams (VA), Aniya Williams, Ramone Williams Jr., Khyir Williams, Raniya Williams (PA), Aria, Bryson, Cayden, and Dakari Willis (VA). A cherished brother by: Terri (Kenny H) Williams (PA), Kimberly Perkins, (PA), Pamela Brownfield (MD), Sherida Williams (FL), Irisha Shaw (PA), Billy Baker (PA), Terry Brownfield (PA), Tyrone Brownfield (PA), Gradie, Sean, Frank (PA), and John McClellan (MD). Two Godsons and one Goddaughter. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
